BWI Options & Settings

This page covers the Data Processing Configure Options & Settings for the BWI Module.   Video

For the System settings for this Module, please refer to the Module System Settings  page.  Video

Tip: The  symbol at the bottom left corner will connect to the main Saberis Support page directly from the Options & Settings form.

  1. Run the XpressPOS Options & Settings program from the All Programs Menu. The XpressPOS 2006 Options and Settings run command is under the Saberis XpressPOS 2006 menu item.

  2. On the Options & Settings form, select the BWI Button on the left.

  3. Then Select the Configure button as shown below.

  1. The General Tab has one setting. You can turn the Summary form on or off. The main use of the Summary Form is to allow the user to change the cost factor for a particular order. Other options can be changed such as the method of pricing and the selling factor. Changes made in the Summary form only affect the current order and do not affect the default setting in the Options & Settings form.

  2. The SKU Tab allows you to enter your POS/ERP system's valid default SKU for BWI.

  3. The Description has a Word Wrap option. If, like most POS systems, only 32 characters are imported, the Description could be truncated. This XpressPOS option will make one or more comment lines out of the balance of the description. Uncheck this box for BisTrack or any system using the Saberis Standard XML export file settings.

  4. The Pricing Tab allows for the setting of a cost factor and a selling factor.

BWI data only has a cost price. You can also apply a selling factor to mark-up the cost to your selling price. You can also leave it at 1.0000 and apply the mark-up in the POS or ERP system.

The Selling factor can be changed during the order processing if you have the summary form activated.

  5. Click on OK to save the settings.

It is recommended that the user experiment with all the Options and Settings choices to determine what is best for your operation.
